We made Chicken Nuggets and French Fries for dinner the other night and we wanted a dipping sauce to go with it. This is one of the children’s favorite meals! My husband found a recipe for dipping sauce that claimed to be a copy-cat recipe from a chicken restaurant. I tried it… and it was not good! It just tasted like mayonnaise (which I am NOT a fan of!) so, I modified the recipe and came up with this! Much better!
We usually just dip our fries and chicken in ketchup, but this was a hit with most of the family! One family member chose to stick with ketchup. He’s not very adventurous when it comes to food. 🙂
Just a few simple ingredients make up this tasty recipe.
Chicken Nugget Dipping Sauce
1/2 C mayonnaise
1/2 C ketchup
1 tsp garlic salt
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
pepper to taste
Stir all the ingredients together. Put it in the refrigerator a couple hours before serving to allow the flavors to blend. The flavors don’t blend together immediately, and they need a little bit of time.
Worcestershire Sauce gives this a very good flavor. Worcestershire… wor-ces-ter-shire sauce… who came up with that name? Seriously!
UPDATE: Some have asked where they can purchase the cute little sauce cups. Someone gave them to me as a gift, but I found the same ones! Cute Little Dipping Cups
Anyway, that’s it! Simple and easy to make and takes the chicken nuggets to a new level of dining. Not quite fine dining, but close! 🙂
