Chicken Nugget Dipping Sauce

We made Chicken Nuggets and French Fries for dinner the other night and we wanted a dipping sauce to go with it.  This is one of the children’s favorite meals!  My husband found a recipe for dipping sauce that claimed to be a copy-cat recipe from a chicken restaurant.  I tried it… and it was not good!  It just tasted like mayonnaise (which I am NOT a fan of!) so, I modified the recipe and came up with this!  Much better!

We usually just dip our fries and chicken in ketchup, but this was a hit with most of the family!  One family member chose to stick with ketchup.  He’s not very adventurous when it comes to food.  🙂

Just a few simple ingredients make up this tasty recipe.

Chicken Nugget Dipping Sauce

Chicken Nugget Dipping Sauce

1/2 C mayonnaise
1/2 C ketchup
1 tsp garlic salt
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
pepper to taste

Stir all the ingredients together.  Put it in the refrigerator a couple hours before serving to allow the flavors to blend.  The flavors don’t blend together immediately, and they need a little bit of time.

Worcestershire Sauce gives this a very good flavor.  Worcestershire… wor-ces-ter-shire sauce… who came up with that name?  Seriously!

UPDATE: Some have asked where they can purchase the cute little sauce cups.  Someone gave them to me as a gift, but I found the same ones!  Cute Little Dipping Cups

Anyway, that’s it!  Simple and easy to make and takes the chicken nuggets to a new level of dining. Not quite fine dining, but close!  🙂

  1. This looks yummy! We will have to give it a try. We are always randomly making impromptu dipping sauce because hubby and a few kids think everything should have a dipping sauce!
Where did you get the cute sauce cups?

    1. Hi there! A sweet friend gave me the cute little sauce cups a couple years ago. I’m not sure where she got them. I will have to ask! I love them. I use them for sauce, small snacks of peanuts or M&M’s, and even for watercolors for painting. 🙂
