I love potatoes.  They go with so many meals!  I also love hash browns; what is there not to love about yummy slivers of buttery potatoes?

A couple years ago I saw these amazing Cheesy Hash Browns over on Money Saving Mom and we have been making them ever since!  We changed the recipe slightly to our liking and here is our version.

Cheesy Hash Browns
*2 lbs. hash browns (freshly grated or frozen)
2 1/2 C shredded cheese
2 C milk
1/4 C butter
1 1/2 tsp sea salt
 3/4 C shredded Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Spread the hash browns into a rectangular glass baking dish.  Sprinkle potatoes with cheese and stir.

Heat the butter, milk, and sea salt until the butter is melted.  Pour milk mixture over the potatoes.  Stir in the parmesan cheese.

Bake for 50-60 minutes.  You can broil for 1-2 minutes to brown them up if you wish!  Allow it to set for 5-10 minutes before serving.

*Hint:  If making fresh hash browns, boil or bake the potatoes before shredding them.  (My favorite way to bake potatoes is in the crock pot!)  Raw potatoes do not make good hash browns.

These are a wonderful side dish for any meal. We eat them with sliders or breakfast for dinner.  What meal would you eat with Cheesy Hash Browns?
